Nested at the heart of Sardinia’s west coast, off the beaten track, and surrounded by Is Arenas’ lush pine forest, the hotel is located near a natural reserve. The building complex has been created complying with the highest standards of technology and energy efficiency.

The architectural project began with an inspiration from the nature surrounding the property: the buildings never rise above the thick vegetation and blend in with the pine forest. Lorenzo Bellini, internationally acclaimed architect and designer, has personally chosen the interiors and the building materials. The result is a carefully studied combination of light shades and an interaction with the surrounding environment. The materials chosen are completely natural: from the Sardinian marble used for the rooms and the bathrooms, to the precious fabrics; from the natural stones used for the exteriors to the ceiling chestnut beams chosen for the interiors. Every detail fits perfectly with the natural location in this remote part of the island.


The lounge bar meets the swimming pool through a veranda, an oasis of peace where our guests can sample our soft drinks and our chef’s delicacies. At sunset, get ready for dinner with a selection of champagne and cocktails. Both the hall and the lobby are spacious and allow the Sardinian sun in; the large glass walls minimise the separation between interior and exterior. The same approach can be found in the rooms and suites (the largest measure approximately 120 square metres), with large windows opening on to the impressive landscape. Most rooms feature an open space, a veranda, a private garden, a patio or a balcony. The interior is elegantly furnished and decorated, inspired by a minimalist style with a touch of purple.

Golf Hotel Is Arenas also offers family suite and super suite to those who enjoy privacy and peacefulness: these suites are composed of a bedroom and a living area and can accommodate up to 5 people. Nested in the pine forest near the hotel, they are the best solution for families and groups of friends.

Set in the very heart of the pine forest, our marble swimming pool with massaging water jets is available to our guests together with a pool-side bar, showers, sun beds and beach umbrellas.
Our 18 holes (par 72) championship golf course, especially designed by internationally acclaimed American architects Robert Von Hagge, Smelek & Baril, is set in a 750 hectares private pine forest, for a total length of over 6300 metres. Our 17th signature hole offers an extraordinary view on a 6 km long stretch of uncontaminated beach.
