SANTA TERESA DI GALLURA HISTORIC CENTRE:
The visit to the historic centre develops around the two main squares: Piazza San Vittorio and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele I. All the streets, in a chequered pattern,  converge here. Via Maria Teresa leads to Piazza San Vittorio with the Church  of the same name (1838) with its unpretencious architecture. On the right you will see Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, crowded with tourists during the Summer months, with its shops and bar and cafes. A walk along Via XX Settembre takes you to the majestic Londonsardo Tower, built by the Spanish at the beginning of the XVI century.

CAPO TESTA: DA panoramic road 5km long links the centre of Santa Teresa to this circular promontory with some granite rocks of spectacular shapes similar to animal’s silhouettes. According to some the name itself came because of it similarity to a human head. For others because this the equivalent to the Roman “caput viarum”, the starting point for all the roads  going inland and leading to the south of the island. The rocks, moulded by the water and the wind, are always a popular spot for a lot of visitors. Capo Testa is linked to the mainland through a isthmus flanked by the beaches of Rena di Levante e Rena di Ponente. These two beaches are always guaranteed  a calm sea according to the direction of the wind.
