Santa Teresa di Gallura is situated at the far end of the Northern coast of Sardinia, overlooking the Bocche di Bonifacio strait. From here daily ferries connect Sardinia to Corsica, only 9 miles away. The resort is easy reachable, being only one hour by car from Olbia harbour and airport, just over 90 minutes from Porto Torres harbour and about two hours from Alghero airport. If you arrive by road, Santa Teresa, at the end of the long and straight
Via Nazionale, looks at first like being one of the few resorts in Sardinia located on a plain. In reality, and this is clear if you arrive by sea, it sits on top of a rocky shelf, 44m above sea level, overlooking the Bocche di Bonifacio canal, on a stretch of ragged coast. The resort has at the present time 4159 inhabitants. The mild climate has an average temperature of 20C in June and September and between 24C and 26C in July and August. Spring starts early, at the end of February, and lasts until May.
